The current FIDE rules for rapid chess apply. The tournaments are eligible for FIDE rating.

Participation:

Participation in the tournaments is free of charge.
The open tournament (Saturday) is open to anyone who wishes to participate, regardless of club affiliation, age, or chess skill level, provided they accept all the terms of this announcement.
The junior tournaments (Sunday) are open to anyone born in 2008 or later.
The tournaments will be held in 5 separate age groups with separate rankings for girls and boys.

The capacity for the Friday tournament is 250 players. The total capacity for all Saturday tournaments combined is 250 players. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all spots are filled, the Organizer will create a waiting list.

Players who do not confirm their participation by the time specified in point 4 will be removed from the starting list. Players who arrive after the designated time will be admitted to the tournament only if there are available spots—starting from the 1st or 2nd round, depending on the head referee’s decision.

This also applies to players on the reserve list.

Failure to notify us of your absence will result in exclusion from future tournaments organized by the Ferdynand Dziedzic Association.
